To uphold and safeguard international civil aviation operations at Faleolo International Airport against acts of unlawful interference and to protect persons and property from dangers arising from the committance or attempted committance of such crimes, including security of airport critical equipment, assets and domestic air operations at airports under the jurisdiction of the Samoa Airport Authority.
Aviation Security Officers are tasked with safeguarding Samoa International Airport by preventing the entry and exit of harmful objects and unlawful interference. They manage access to aircraft by utilizing x-ray devices to spot prohibited and dangerous items. Additionally, Airport Security Officers and Night Watchmen oversee the safety and security of crucial airport facilities, assets, and national air activities under their jurisdiction, including ground traffic control and overall airport premises security.
