The 2012 Airport Authority Act (repealed the 1984 Act) has incorporated more flexibility in the relevant requirements to improve the SAA’s aviation safety and security related functions but more importantly, the inclusion of a more commercially oriented focus by legislating provisions to enable a more financially sustainable drive for the SAA as a Government entity.
